Journalling on page 1:On December 1, 2003 we found out we were pregnant. It was a happy surprise. My first ultra sound was December 17, 2003. Besides some morning sickness the pregnancy was going well. We were not prepared for the shock we got when I went for my 18 week prenatal check up on March 11, 2004. When the Doctor couldn't find the heartbeat he sent me down for an ultra sound. When the tech couldn't find the heartbeat she went and got the Doctor and they still couldn't find it. Scott was out of town on business when we found out. He came back early so he could go with me for another ultra sound and to meet with the Doctor. Still the devastating news… no heartbeat. I had the DNC March 13, 2003. It was a blessing that so many people reached out to us when they found out. We had a couple of people from church bring us meals and we received tons of cards. Throughout the miscarriage the verse that kept coming up was Job 1:21b “..the Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” It is not a verse you want to hear in the midst of sorrow but a reassuring one that God is in control. The one thing I hold on to is that one day I will see my baby again.

I love how you made your title with the different fonts. The journaling is so heart-wrenching but I love how you are journaling this. I have a friend who just lost her second child at 19 weeks. I told her that she would see her baby again in heaven. TFS
