Another entry into a circle journal, this one was about Being Blessed (I think). I totally loved doing the journaling!!



When I hear the word Blessing there are so many things that come to mind. I feel as though God blessed my life from the moment I was born. Before I was a year old my birth mom left my dad and me but I was blessed with my ‘mom’ before I turned two. I was blessed to have a dad in the military that took us all over the country including Germany. Those travels have helped me in my adult life to adjust to sudden changes and meeting new people. As a teenager I was blessed to have parents that encouraged me to go to church and know that God is always in control. I also learned a certain fear that blessed me in ways I can appreciate today. God truly blessed my life when He brought our family to Gate City, Virginia where I met my husband Chuck. During our ten year marriage God has us on a daily basis and also blessed us with two beautiful children, Chase and Sarah. I always try to see the blessings in daily life whether it be something as small as quick service at the drive thru to sparing my life when a reckless driver is on the road. Everyday we are filled with Blessings, I wonder if we ever really take the time to acknowledge them. Recently our family received a wonderful blessing and that was our opportunity to move back home to be with our extended family. We have lived away from our parents and relatives for ten years. Our entire family prayed consistently for God to bring us back to the Tennessee/Virginia, if it was His will. I consider it a blessing to be able to visit my parents and in-laws whenever we want. It is a blessing watching my children play with their cousins and know that we can see them tomorrow if we want. I feel so blessed to be living in the mountains, what a beautiful view I see every time I drive somewhere in this city. I feel blessed when I wake with each new day and when I lay down at night. Lord, I pray that I will always be thankful for my blessings, to never take one for granted and to give Him the glory for them all!
