I found this journaling I had written when Andrew was a little over 2 years old so I found a photo around that time to scrap it. TFL
Journaling:
Oh, my little Andrew! Being with you conjures up so many emotions and feelings from sweet contentment (when you sit on my lap and cuddle) to sheer frustration (when you lose your temper just because I won’t let you do something). At this age you are so full of energy that Daddy and I will just sit back and watch you as you run around in circles usually hollering and laughing – your favorite past time. I believe God gave me a special assignment when he created you. Often, I find myself at the end of the rope of patience, nerves and ideas on how to discipline you. You are the “second child” and so it seems many families are blessed with a child like you – full of energy, love and stubbornness! I am already beginning to worry about your future, you show signs of taking risks, losing control of your emotions and a strong will.
Hopefully, as Daddy and I continue to pray for you as your character develops, those seemingly faulty characteristics will evolve into your strengths. Maybe taking risks will be what gives you the courage to be a missionary in some foreign country. Maybe you’ll learn to control your emotions by channeling it through creative outlets – writing, drawing or music. Maybe your strong will will develop into persistence and help you to always go that extra mile in whatever path the Lord leads you.
We pray we will be the parents we should for you and Elizabeth – leading a Godly example, teaching you the “way of righteousness” and giving you the desire to be a faithful, young Christian man who surrenders his life to God whether it be full-time service or as a layman.
