"Andrew’s fascination with tractors and construction equipment surely was an innate characteristic. He especially loves John Deere tractors and would rather hang out at the dealership in Gray than anywhere. His collection of JD tractors is growing and he pesters me weekly to paint one on his wall (seeing as I painted flowers and butterflies in Elizabeth’s room). Recently, we went to the playground near Papa’s house and sure enough, there was a wooden JD tractor to play on. Andrew was thrilled to play with it and was even more ecstatic to find it had “a real steering wheel” on it. Part of his obsession is fueled from the fact that Uncle Tollette has an old Oliver tractor (it’s green so he thinks it’s a JD too) that he takes him on at the farm every time we visit."
