This really isn't a "technique" but have you noticed how using your own handwriting on LOs is making a BIG come back? I know people have been doing it all along and sb magazines have preached to us to do it all along on some of our layouts to preserve our handwriting. I was looking at the recent CK Top 10 magazine last night and noticed that a LOT of the layouts in there had the designer's handwriting. Probably not the majority of the LOs in there were done that way but enough that I took notice. I don't particularly like my handwriting but those LOs did make me want to do that more on my own. It does make for a faster LO!

Anyone else notice this?

And, anyone else notice any other new techniques or old ones making a comeback? Or just ones they would like to try or think are neat?

There are so many new techniques out, it's hard to keep up with them. I think that I really like the elsie flannigan type "gypsy style" but it doesn't really go very well with a little boy.

That IS a good name for her style!! LOL I like it too and could "copy" it but I don't think it's in me to do it on my own. I think it's so funny and interesting how the scrapbook industry has just as many styles as the clothing industry and how they correlate. When shabby chic in clothing (and home decor) was all the rage, it was in scrapbooking; when the "beach" themed stuff came out in clothing (Hisbicus patterns, etc), we had pp in scrapbooking too! LOL You are right, they hard to keep up with!
