How do you store....?

your scraps of paper? i've tried putting them in page protectors which does help some, i'm just wondering if anyone had a better way of keeping them.

I store my scraps in those platic storage drawers. I got them at Wal-Mart a few years ago when my page protectors got out of hand. They were on clearance and I got each set (with three drawers) for less than $4. (They were a blue that must not have sold but my scrap room is in blue and yellow so they work perfectly for me!) I love this system because when I need a scrap then I can take out the whole drawer and sift through them. The drawers are like 9x11 3/4 inches so they almost hold a 12 inch strip of paper. I have a drawer for yellows, oranges, reds, pinks, purples, blues, etc. Here's what they look like:

I have a system like Leslie's, but I only have one 3-drawer container. One drawer for cardstock, one for DCWV scraps, & one for other scraps. I just recently started to save my scraps (b/c of my new cabinet) but due to limited space I only have space for one of these containers for scraps.

Another way to do it with the drawer system if you didn't have room for that many is to have like yellows, oranges and reds together in one drawer, pinks, purples and blues together and greens, browns and blacks together or something like that. I use so many more of my scraps since I switched to this though. It seems to be more readily available. When I make cards, I first go to my scrap drawer to see if there is anything to work with before I cut up a 12x12 sheet.

I do the same thing Leslie - go to the scraps for cards first. I've been so much more productive since I've started storing my scraps in the drawers. I've also been using my paper more effeciently too - searching my cardstock scraps for journaling blocks, pieces for titles & punches. Love this way to store the scraps.

Why NOT Trina??? Just joking!! I hope you and your kids have stayed healthy so far. I know a lot of people seem to be getting sick this year - more than usual. Or maybe I know more that are getting sick? Hmm. . . :)
