adobe photoshop elements??? I'm thinking about getting this in the future & wanted to know if it's worth it. I'm really wanting to work on my photography skills & thought that I should get a photo editing software so that I could play even more. Thanks for your input.

I used to use Adobe PE 2.0 but now have 3.0. I like it better and it organizes your photos for you if you want to use that feature. You can also "tag" photos like photos taken at certain places (home, my parent's house, etc) or with certain people (Elizabeth, Andrew, my mom, etc) which can be helpful if you're looking for a picture of a particular thing. I use my PE 3.0 for general photo editing. I keep thinking about trying my hand at digital LOs (as I think I mentioned before) but haven't taken the time yet. I can do quite a bit though in it (not HALF of what it's capable of). I have taught several friends how to use basic to intermediate features in it. You can see my Christmas cards' photos - I did that with the program. It was VERY easy, surprisingly. There is a more recent version out but that only means you can get the older version for next to nothing and it's GREAT! I can't remember if 4.0 or 5.0 is the latest version.

I really want to improve my photography - & maybe one day in the future do it to earn a little extra income - & I've been looking @ some conversion packages to use with the PSE to use on my photos to give them even more of a "professional" look. I found a package with 13 gorgeous conversions for $50.00 & I'm probably getting it for Christmas or my birthday. I also want to take a basic photography class (like @ science hill adult ed or something) to help me improve my photography & really learn how to use my camera to it's full capacity. I think I'm going to get the program. I'm really excited now - We'll have to get together so you can teach me how to use the program.

I helped Annie one night at our crop to learn some basics on it. She brought her laptop and I taught her some things. Were you there that night? It was the night I showed her how to use the "liquefy" filter and we got carried away on a photo of Jody. We liquified his nose and ears, etc to make them enlongate to a rather ridiculous size. It all looks real though!!

You have probably noticed that a lot of the digital scrappers use that program. Probably the majority of them. I think JASC is the other one I see often but I'm not familiar with it. Photoshop Elements is by far the most popular, user friendly, etc.

I've heard a lot about the progran on 2peas. a lot of digi scrappers do use it. I don't think I would enjoy it. I just love being able to "touch" & "feel" the products. Plus, I ould never be able to design in a "realistic" way
