OK, so I've really wanted to pursue photography more seriously. I've really been studying things & I'm going to take the leap. I'm going to start trying to learn my camera so I can use in manual. I'm also going to work on building my portfolio. I'm so excited about this - I've wanted to do this for so long & now it's really happening.

Yeah  my first customer. I've got a lot to learn still, but I'm so ready. I can't wait for the weather to warm up & get sunny so I can start taking photos outside.

If you ever want to use my kids to build your portfolio, you can. I can dress them up in whatever and we can meet somewhere and you can use them to have different subjects in your portfolio. It may be fun to photograph a girl - Elizabeth LOVES to pose! ;)

Yeah - I would be nice just to have a subject who understands how to be still - Cristian is on the move constantly. It's teaching me how to capture the moments as they happen though.
Dave said we could even work on getting me a digi SLR in the future, so excited.......I just look forward to getting PSE 4.0 so I can start playing with my photos & mastering "manual" mode on my film SLR.

Bri, I found an awesome quote in the new SS that would be neat to put in a pamphlet for your photography business. . .
The instrument is not the camera but the photographer. ~Eve Arnold
I don't know who Eve Arnold is (LOL) but I thought it was a neat and truthful quote! Just had to share.

Love that - I found one a while back that was cute too.
"Owning a Canon doesn't make you a photographer, it makes you a Canon oner." - unknown
It was funny, b/c I thought that owning a nice "expensive" camera would give me everything I needed to take "breathe-taking photographs". Boy, was I WRONG. But I'm learning how to take better photographs because I want to
make the most of my camera
