Found this on another MB:

Now that ribbon is all the rage, do you still find yourself using fiber on your layouts or has it taken a back seat to all of the beautiful ribbon?

If you still use fiber now and then, can you tell us what you have been doing with it?

I'm not using fibers at all anymore. I still want to keep them b/c I may use them some day and they may become the rage again! LOL I love ribbons right now though. I was thinking the other day that I should send out a RAK of some of my extra fibers. I have a lot of blue ones. Anyone interested? I probably have more I need to thin out as well.

I don't really use fibers or ribbons much.

I have never used fibers but I LOVE LOVE LOVE ribbon! I buy it like I buy paper. If I see something I like I buy some of it. I don't know that I'll every use it but I have it..:) I'm really into putting ribbon on my LOs lately. I like that depth it give the page. I like looking at the mags and seeing ribbon everywhere. This may sound crazy but my ribbon ties NEVER look like the ones in the mags. I need a class on proper ribbon tying..:)

LOL I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, Pamela! The other night I was working on a LO and was trying to tie a length of ribbon to attach. I tied one knot and it looked too small. I tied another knot in it and then it looked too bulky! :???: I ended up just attaching it with a brad! LOL It was the LO I was working on for Brianna. It may have been the ribbon I was working with at the time - too thin or something? Anyway, I know how ya feel! ;)

I love using ribbon with my X (xyron). The problem is buying so much and storing it. LOL I am stamping on the wider size and using that too. Stamping words or shapes. It helps change the same old ribbon, and keeps me from buying more.

To store my ribbon, I take it off the spool it comes on and wind it around a bobbin (like used with cross-stitching floss). If I have more than two yards then I usually share it with a friend. I keep all my colors organized together in a container with the other same-colored embellishments (fibers, buttons, brads, etc). You'll have to upload some of your LOs to show us! :)

I have to agree with you Leslie. I just consolidated all my ribbon to 2 cross stitching floss boxes. Getting rid of the big bulky spools saves so much space. Also, easier to take to crops.
