Are any of you that are attending SDV pre-planning some LOs to work on? I've started early this year - proud of myself! ;) I have pre-planned maybe eight so far (have pictures printed, a sketch roughly drawn, and just need to find paper in my stash to go with it). I hope to have 20 pre-planned. I can get a lot done if I do this. I'm even hoping to type and print most of my journaling for these LOs.

Oh, I have a Word document of a sort of check-list if any of you are interested in using it. I can email it to you. I may post it in the gallery later to show you what I'm using and talking about.

I hate to say I have nothing to scrap. I have signed-up to goto the PJ party tomorrow at CC. I went to see what if any LOs I can do...nothing...I had to dig way back for a picture to use for the Studio 101 contest. I always can do birthday cards and Christmas cards. I just hope I can do something scrapbook worthy before SDV. I'm going with my best friend and her daughter to the park tomorrow maybe I'll get a page or 2 from that.

I'm not going to SDV but i do try to get LOs ready ahead of time before crops. I'd never get anything done if i didin't.

I need to try to start pre-planning my LOs for the BRBC crops. It will work much better now b/c I'm huge on sketching my LOs. It really takes a lot of guess work out of LO design, even if I don't stick to the sketch completely. I keep my sketches in spiral bound graph notebooks. I also will write notes on the pg with my sketch (i.e. - journaling, title ideas, & dates, along with any product ideas or color schemes).

I totally admire people that pre plan layouts for crops. I CANNOT DO THAT! LOL

I never really know what I am going to do until I do it! Another bad thing is I have to bring as much as possible with me because I never know what I might need! I was wondering if there is going to be a place to plug in my sewing machine at SDV!?? JUST KIDDING!

A lady at my old LSS pre planned every layout and had it all tucked nicely into this cropper hopper thingy, she had exactly what she needed and that is what she scrapped.

Okay let me say I could almost do that IF and I repeat IF I was scrapping in a LSS and whatever I needed was at my disposal!!! :)

I know this is more than anyone cared to know! LOL

Patty, I had already wondered about bringing my sewing machine too! LOL I love doing that technique right now and I know I'll have LOs "needing" it! ;) When I go on weekend getaway crops, I bring it. Most of my friends end up using it too.

Just thought, maybe I could keep it in my hotel room and run up to my room when I need it! The housekeeping people would think I'm nutty for sure. LOL

Another thing I wanted to tell you all is that they do have a LO contest on Saturday evening. So if you are going to be there then, you can bring a LO or finish one while there for the contest. The attendees judge. I don't remember the prize.

Did you get the email today from SDV? It reminded me of things I don't want to forget:

drink holder
trash holder
snacks! ;)

Anything else that you tend to forget that you should post so we all remember?

A few other things:

extra adhesive
pencil & eraser (for measuring & cutting)

I went to CC and bought a Tag A Long. I'm still planning..I think I have enough to do on Friday if I pace myself but Saturday might be a problem...I'm just worried I won't get to register in time for my class at 9:30am. Leslie, I've never been before. What's registration like? Should I get in line at 3am..hehe Oh I can't wait..I'm so excited!!

I usually get there around 9 and it's not a bad line. A lot of women probably take their kids to school or finish packing b/c it seems the bulk doesn't get there until maybe around 10 or so.

I'm excited too! About scrapping and getting to meet you and see other friends from Knoxville and other places who come to this annually.

I wanted to come back on here and add that all you do for registration is give them your name and they look it up and give you a packet. I don't remember ever filling anything out. I'm not even sure if you have to show any type of identification to prove who you are. You can use the big luggage carriers to haul your stuff in too. Pull around to the main entrance but walk to the right of the main entrance (those doors) and the ballroom area there is where SDV has been for the last couple of years. After you unload, then you can park somewhere. HTH

Maybe you could start an AAM (All About Me - and I have all kinds of questions to answer to get you started if you're ever interested from a group I used to be in) album and that would give you more to scrap. Or a wedding album of you and your dh? Or a waiting for baby themed album or something?

Okay, I registered last week and never received an email with a registration number. I am assuming that they will have my info when I get there Friday and all I have to do is pay, right? Does anyone know? I emailed Nancy tonight about getting there early Friday so I can set up for my class and drop off my stuff at the table. I hope she will let me, it will make things so much easier for me!!!

I don't have a drink holder, I saw one at CC today but it was a bit pricey for me. I will get a nice covered drink container at wal mart tomorrow and some snacks. I will bring my little trash can with some wal mart bags to fill up.

I can't wait to see everyone there!!!!

OK..I'll try not to scream again BUT Patty PLEASE go to the website and see if you are registered. I registered last week and got a reg # and conformations on the ammounts that I paid. However, I could never check my reg information or balance at the website. I emailed them of this problem and they said the computers were messed up but they had fixed them now. So, YESTERDAY I checked online to make sure everything was ok. WELL!!!!!! They have me reg for Sat only and 1 class on Fri and that they owe me money. I quickly emailed them to say NO I reg for Fri/Sat and 1 class on Fri.and that money is yours because I paid for 2 days and a class. I was in tears...But I did tell them I HOPE THIS CAN BE RESOLVED...It better be or there will be another show/event on Friday..hehe. So Patty...Please check online before you go and you have to pay for the event at the door before they will let you in...atleast that's what the email they just sent everyone says.

Thought of something else: a light jacket. I tend to be hot natured but at these things you never know what the temperature is going to be - either hot or cold. So I usually wear short sleeves and bring my sweat jacket to wear.

I'm sure your registration will be worked out. Don't worry but do email or call.

Okay, gotta get more things packed and ready! :)

I have been very happy with Dream Events. They have fixed everything very quickly.

Well I just finished getting everything ready for my class and putting my supplies together for tomorrow.

I did email Nancy last night about getting there early but I never got a respond. Rhonda talked to her tonight and she said I could come as early as 8:00 and find someone to let me in my room for the class.

I think that there is a pretty good chance I can just pay at the door, I just hope they have the information about sitting with you Pam!! They will have to make room for me! LOL

See you all in a few hours, I need some sleep!
