I think Trina has to work in the mornings on Thurs & Fri so I'm filling in for her when I come on in the mornings and she hasn't posted us the qotd! Here's today. . .

If you could take a class for scrapping what would it be? If YOU had to teach a class - what would you teach?

If I could take a class, I would want it to be a fun class with a project or something like a class on defining your style or one on journaling.

If I could teach a class I would teach a class on an altered item (board book or something) or techniues.

Stacy Julian is probably my favorite scrapbook class teacher I've ever had because she is so energetic and gets your emotions stirring - sad ones and happy ones. Between her, Becky Higgins and Rebecca Sower (all who I've taken classes from), she was the best because of her personality and how she just interacted with the class. She was one of us yet we all respected her for who she was as a scrapper. I would love to have any class taught by her. She has online classes but I'm not into those yet! LOL

A class I would teach. . . hmmm. . . I'm not an expert at anything to be able to teach it although I have tried almost every technique. I've taught a few beginning scrapbook classes and I think I do the best at that. I feel that I can sell the hobby good. ;) I have several converts to show! LOL I was going to teach a class a few years ago called "Extreme Cardstock Makeover" and I looked forward to that but only three signed up so I cancelled it. I think the kind of class I would like to teach would be how to take a scrapbook company kit and use to make a couple of LOs and how to use the scraps to make cards. Whatever I taught, I would like to have a "curriculum" that suited a beginner, intermediate and advanced scrapper so that everyone got something out of it. And I would like to demonstrate techniques that others had never tried. I did that once at one of our first church crops - I brought an iron, spray bottle, heat gun, embossing powder, stamps, etc to let others play around and try techniques.

I would want to take a class that taught something new...for example...I just went to a Creative Memories workshop were she taught us how to use the punches to make different animals and such. They were SOOOOO cute and I would have never thought of using basic tools that way. I could take that as a beginner and advance it to my level of scrapbooking. If I taught a class it would have to be a Pages By Design class.

If i ever take a class i'd probably take one on journalling. I can use all the help i can get with my journalling.

I don't know if ever want to teach a class.

I think Trina has to work in the mornings on Thurs & Fri Thanks Leslie. I do work on Thursdays morning but this morning i was trying to get caught up on my house work.

I am interested mostly in classes that have WOW teachers which is funny because I have taught some classes and I am so not WOW!

I have actaully only taken a handful of classes and the biggest one was at the CC retreat last year with Shannon Taylor and Heather Preckel! Brianna was in that class also!

I teach classes but I don't think I am an expert at anything, LOL! I just love to share my passion with others and it is so fun to talk to other scrappers! I would love to make a career out of it but until my name is known (fat chance) I will enjoy every minute of teaching for CC!!
