Angela,
I have seen this in action on QVC. It looked neat but I'm into different fonts not really size. If you are interested in getting one, there are a couple on the market now to compare. Xyron has 2. 1 is portable(cuts in 3 sizes and has LOTS of fonts) and 1 requires a computer "the wishblade", the cricut, and Pazzel has one also. If I was buying, I would buy myself the xyron personal cutter. The price of the machine a fonts/shapes is reasonable.

And to put a plug in for the store (no, I'm not an employee! LOL) they have the Pazzle. You can do your own font and size if you know how to make it a jpg file (I can tell you how if you have photo editing software or other image editing software). You email the file to the store and they will cut it for you. I'm not sure on the pricing - depends on the size (I *think* anywhere from under a dollar to $4). BUT the reason I'm talking about using theirs is that I would think it would be cheaper than buying your own machine (cricut or one of the others) when you may not use it however many times or as often to make sense in regards to just paying to use the store's. Clear as mud? LOL

I had started a thread a pretty long time ago asking Rhonda about several of the die cut machines. Here's the link: http://www.cropperscorral.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=24

Hi gals,
Guess what? I have applied to become a Cricut dealer with Provo Craft. Hope it doesn't take to long to get approval. We will then carry the Cricut in the store??? I have also been trying to get the Xyron personal die cutting machines in for comparison.
And as Leslie says, we do have the large Pazzle in the store for those large or small projects that you might have and we do have a pretty large selection of fonts and clip art to use with this machine. Recently, we have had requests for words with shadows and they look great!
Keep me posted on your preferences!

I don't think Rhonda has seen this thread yet. She may not want to be a dealer now since all the chain craft stores (Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc) are selling them. Have you seen one used yet, Pamela? They are cool!

I have seen it and I asked before I bought one on QVC. It was such a good deal and DH bought it for my birthday. It should be here thursday or friday. I got the machine and the cartridge that comes with it and another cartridge made only for QVC for the price of the machine. Then, my friend and I went to Micheals today and they had the cartridges on sale for $20 off. So, I bought another one and my friend bought me one for my birthday. So, I'll have 4 cartridges to play with when the cricut comes. After a lot of research, I went with the cricut because its capablities and user friendliness. The Xyron personal cutter only cuts 3 sizes and the wishblade is far from user friendly and it's attached to the computer.

Yes, I am hoping the Wishblade will become more user friendly in time and that will be when I buy one! ;) I reeeeeally would like one of them (Wishblade). I seriously do want to wait a year or so though to let them get their complaints fixed and the price to go down. If I had waited on getting my QK, then I could have the Cricut and several cartridges by now. ;)

See, I keep going back and forth on whether I should get the Cricut or wait until I'm ready to get the Wishblade. I've used the Cricut and know how easy it is to use and it's reasonably priced (compared to the Quickutz). I keep hoping someone in my scrapbook group will get one soon. ;)
