When your children/families look back on your scrapbooks years from now...what do you want them to know? Do you feel like you are communicating that information on your pages?

so far my pages don't say enough of what I want them to say. Only doing this for a year, I'd have to say journaling is not a strong point.

Journalling is not my stong point either. I don't journal as much as i should but the way i look at it I am doing more then my mom did. My mom did keep albums for us but she never wrote anything in them (dates or names)

I think I do a good job journaling and "telling the story." I try to journal as things happen but find I don't do a good job at that always so I forget things. It's amazing when I do journal and then go to scrap the photos 3-6 months later what all I had forgotten. That is what keeps me motivated to journal as I go along. And one way I do that is I have a friend who lives in CA - we have our own yahoo group to save emails we send to each other. We tell each other about the things our families do and say and then we can go back and search for that particular day when we are scrapping it. ;)

Leslie, That sounds like a great idea!
