Does anyone know of some great places in the tri-city area to take photos in the fall? I know the leaves are in their glorious state yet but I wanted to get prepared! I think I've mentioned in another thread that our yard doesn't have trees that bear pretty leaves in the fall (we have bradford pears, a couple of variety of willows, etc). SO I need a prop! ;) What about at the area parks? Wing Deere or Warriors Path? Also, isn't it free to visit the Tipton Haynes Historic site in JC? I thought that may be a neat place around the old buildings if they have some pretty trees. Here's a link (http://www.tipton-haynes.org/) for it but it's just a new site and there's no real info.

Rhonda, Rachel and I went for two years, and enjoyed it! This year I'm on call, and Rhonda is teaching a class. Some of Rhonda's pictures were taken during the event.

This year the Autumn at Oz is to be held Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd, 2005 from 10:00 to 5:00 p.m. Additional information is available at:

I know that one of the Teens in our Youth Group took some family pictures for a family in our Church and they went to Jonesborough and took them in the park and with the old buildings. They turned out really nice and the area was great for the pictures!!!

Autumn at Oz sounds really fun!! TFS!

I've heard of others taking photos in downtown Jonesborough as well. If you ever want to go together to help each other out, then let me know, Brianna. We could go one day while the kids are in school. Maybe take some special photos of you and Christian for Dave (maybe as a gift or not?) or just take photos of Christian. (I can act silly and make him laugh. I know, not hard for me to do - "act silly"!) OR maybe you could help me! ;) Just LMK if you ever wanna.

I would love that!!! We'll have to do that soon! Maybe after all of the craziness with this activity and the campaign!!!

I just went to Fenders Farm this past weekend and it is a LO waiting to happen!!! They have so much for kids to do, it was great. They have a corn maize, animal farmyard, hayride, pick-a-pumpkin patch, mini hay maze for kids, a "hay trampoline", hay slide, and a lot of other fun stuff too! I took my little boy and he absolutely LOVED it - plus I took tons of pictures!

Of all that you mentioned, what all do they charge for? I know they do the pumpkins and maze but what about the farmyard, hay maze for kids, hay trampoline and hay slide? TIA

If you don't do the corn maize, the hay ride is $1 per person and it is $3 for each pumpkin you bring from the pick-a-patch. The haymaze is just part of the place, no charge! I'm not sure about the slide, but I think that there's no charge for it either. The hayride stops at the farmyard on it's way to the pumpkin patch, they let you get off and look around. It's really cool for little kids.

Hmmm. . . we've already been to Myer's Pumpkin Patch in Greeneville but this one sounds better. Closer too! We may have to go just for the fun of it since we've already bought pumpkins. Of course we let the kids pick out whichever one they wanted and they got the most deformed looking ones!!! Andrew's looks like a "bottom" to put it nicely. It has an indent that runs from top to bottom - looks like a crack. :o LOL
