I thought of something that would be fun and educational for many of us: a photography challenge. We could learn something new about our camera each week or once every two weeks and then post a photo to show what we learned such as changing apeture, changing the angle we take a photo, using a flash during the day, using our timer(!!!), the rule of thirds, etc. I just know that something accidently happened to my camera settings last week and I was lost as to how to fix it. I've had my camera for over a year and don't know how to use some of the settings that could make my mediocre photos look "wow." Anyone interested?

Count me in. I've been reading a tutorial that was posted on another site on how to use my camera in Manual mode. I know that I get good photos with my preset options, but I bought the camera because I know that I'll get "wow" photos if I can learn how to use it properly in manual. 2 weeks would work better for me, since I'm still working & learning with my film camera & I'll have to get my film developed.
I'm making a list of the different things I want to learn to do with my camera. I'm going to use it as a sort of checklist for this challenge.

If you want to head up the challenge, then feel free. Or we can swap back and forth with the challenges. You may want to buy yourself some rolls of 12 exposures to use for the challenge? Just a thought.

Go ahead Leslie. I love your idea of posting things as you learn them. Each person's camera is going to have different abilities & settings, so this would work best for everyone, I think.
Just let us kno when our first Challenge is due.
