Which would you recommend??? I'm wanting to know everyone's opinions because I might be getting one for Christmas and I want to make sure that I get the best one. Thanks!

I love the font choices that come with the Quickutz the most BUT I think it's the Sizzix sidekick machine that you can use the Quickutz dies with - it comes with an adapter or maybe it's the one that you don't even have to use an adapter with. The actual Sizzix machine is rather heavy but the Quickutz handtool is very compact and light. You may want to look into that sidekick thing though that goes with the Sizzix. You don't have to actually have the Sizzix machine but it can be used with the Sizzix dies. I'll see if I can find additional info for ya!

Here (http://www.sizzix.com/shop.cfm?function=form&content=bodies/product_landing/sizzix_machine.html&menu=menu_shop.cfm) it is! It is called the Sizzix Sidekick and it's cheaper in price (49.99) to the Quickutz (69.99). A little bulkier though. I'm not sure about the compatibility of using Sizzix dies with the Quickutz handtool. I love the compactness of the Quickutz dies though! Am I helping at all??? LOL

I just looked and I think alphabets for Sizzix are cheaper than alphabet sets for Quickutz. You have to watch b/c each brand sells fonts with/without the lowercase letters and numbers. I think Croppers always sells Quickutz at 30% off and then you can also get some of the Sizzix fonts at Michaels and use the 40% off coupon.

That helps a lot. I really like the QuickKuts, but if I could use both die sets with the sidekick it would be a better purchase, but I wonder how convenient it is to take to crops and what not. I'll check the website out! Thanks for your help!!

I just saw this info (http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/mb.asp?cmd=display&thread_id=1405207) and thought you may be interested. It is concerning the Zip'eMate by AccuCut. Yet another possibility?

Okay, MORE info!! Maybe I should just edit and add to my previous post BUT I just read that one scrapper can put up to eight of the Quickutz fonts at a time in her zipemate to cut. Meaning, I guess, that she can cut eight letters at once.

More for you to think about: Does any of these machines cut material other than cardstock such as the thin metal, cork and chipboard? I don't think you would use these type of materials enough to matter but it may be something to consider. I read that you can cut chipboard with the Sizzix but it didn't say the Sidekick.

There's a lot that's going to go into this decision, that's for sure. I'm gonna check out all the info you've posted. Thanks!

Have you thought any more about this, Brianna? I have thought about asking to get a Quickutz or the Sidekick for Christmas too but get a Quickutz font. I REALLY like the thought of being able to cut 8 alpha dies at once!
