eta: Removed the link since this is the inspiration for my class this month.

If you're interested in seeing a sample, stop by the store & ask to see the Card Mini album sample.

I found this while looking through the gallery yesterday. It's the perfect solution for anyone who has cards from a specific occasion that they would like to keep. I still have all of the cards from when I was expecting DS. DH wanted to just get a keepsake box to keep them in, but we've yet to do it. This is the solution to my problem: a card mini-book. I pulled out the cards yesterday. I'm going to stop & buy a standard hole punch tool (I can't find mine) & try to work on it today. I save all the chipboard sheets from the backs of the DCWV stacks, so that's how I'm going to make the cover. I'm going to do this for the cards I get for DD too.

I'm dying to SB - I've got these "great" ideas I'm dying to work on, it's just so hard to do with DS (more like impossible). I will make time once things slow down for us.

Isn't it great - would be neat for cards from Christmas, birthday, anniversary, baby, etc.

My kids love looking at their b-day cards too so this would be a great solution. Since I switched from CM albums to post bound albums - a looooong time ago - I've been at a lost of how to store their cards. I've done the pocket pages but they always want to take them out and look through them. Then I'm like a mother hen trying to take them out of the page protector for them and gently put them back so I don't mess up my LO. LOL

I like this idea too. TFS! I'm not sure how you are going to bind the album but I have tried ribbons and binder rings. The binder rings come in all sizes and work great for adding things later if needed.

I have some binder rings (which is how it's binded in the example I linked) I'm going to use with the ribbon tied on them (love the look too). When I dropped my stuff off for the yard sale, I looked @ the Bohemia Stuff (WOW) & I've figured out which PP & some of the embellishments I'm going to use (Leslie - I'm using the goodies you got me & getting more to coordinate with it). I'm so excited to get to start on this project.

I made one last night for the cards from DS - didn't take long at all either, 2 hours max. The thing that consumes the most time is punching holes in all of the cards. I used MME Bohemia & lots of ribbon from my stash. I need to pick up the "title" from CC next week, also MME Bohemia, put CS on the back of the mini-album & then it will be completely done. I need bigger binder rings so it opens easier though. So excited. I'm going to get the stuff for DD's card mini album (I have most of the stuff already, but need a few fun, girly things still) & get it completed too. These are so much fun to do. So, I'll take pictures today & post them a little later (just remember, there's no title on it yet).

Questions: Did you have to cut your cards apart to make them open better with the rings? Are you just using regular adhesive to put the CS & PP on the chipboard? If you need some Mod Podge then I have some you could borrow. Just LMK! Can't wait to see it.

Right now I'm using 1" binder rings & though the album is tight there's no problem getting the cards to open without cutting them. I just used a glue stick (I'm out of other adhesive) to attach the PP & CS, but I may use mod padge on my next one & see if it holds better (the glue stick is holding really well right now, but not sure for how long, KWIM?). I'm so eager for DH to get home so I can work on my next one. So loving the MME Bohemia goodies......I must get more (I'm really hoping that I do well @ the yard sale so that I can  ). Perfect for this project too.
