How or Who got you started in scrapbooking?

I guess i started scrapbooking because i wanted to make sure that my kids had pictures of themselves when they grow up and i wanted to make sure they had names and dates with them.

My mom did good about keeping picture albums for my sister and i but unfortunitly she didn't put any names and dates in the albums.

I have NO picutes of Scott growing up.

I heard a broadcast on James Dobson way back in like 97 talking about Creative Memories. I thought, "Wow! A grown-up way to use stickers!" I had loved and collected stickers as a child and still loved them then but didn't have a real use for them or excuse to buy. Well, a few months went by and the Appy Fair came to town. Wade & I went and met a lady at a CM booth that was one of his clients. I remembered how I would like to learn to do that. I put my name in a drawing for a free album. A week or so later, she called and I had won the album. I thought, "It's the Lord's will!!" LOL Soooo I went to my first CM get together and liked it okay but didn't get into real big until Elizabeth was born (2000). That was when I started using other products other than CM and the rest is history (or scrapped, should I say?). I still like CM's tape runner - it's one of the best adhesives for that textured Bazzill CS!

Oh, should I say that now I don't even really use stickers? I still like them though! I guess you could say I started scrapping in 1998 - pages of me and Wade.

I started in 1999, when I did a scrapbook about me and a missions trip to Mexico. My mom is really crafty (- sewing, knitting, cross-stitching - you name it she does it!) she bought me a scrapbook kit from wal-mart for christmas and I decided to use it for my trip. I was very basic in my early attempts - I actually hated PP!!! LOL - I love it now. I really got in to it when Dave and I got married - even though I'm still working on our wedding scrapbook! But now that Cristian is here I am really busy!
