Another scraping board i'm on where talking about how they are becoming dissappointed in scrapbook mags lately. What do you think? What keeps you wanting that particular mag(s)? Which mags do you still get and what have you let lapsed?

I used to get CK and one other mag (i can't remember which one now). I let both of them laps. I did find a couple of LOs i liked in them but over all they were just not my style. I don't think i'll get another subscription. I'll just check at stores every now and again and if i find an issue i really like then i'll buy it.

I really like Scrapbooks, Etc and I like Creating Keepsakes most of the time. Simple Scrapbooks seems to not inspire me quite as much but I still like getting it b/c of the simple LOs. It has seemed to get better since Cathy Zielske started working there too - maybe that's just me (in my head!). Those are the three I get. I like Scrapbook Answers but haven't subscribed yet since I get the other three (plus Paper Crafts). I keep wanting to but haven't - yet! ;) I have not bought or subscribed to Memory Makers in years b/c their quality a loooong time ago was poor. I've heard they are better now though. I have thought about letting my subscriptions lapse but am afraid I'll miss a good issue and won't be able to bring myself to pay full price at the store.

I get SB Etc., CK, SS, & SB answers. I love SB Etc. & usually CK. SS is hit & miss with inspiration. I'm going to let SB answers lapse b/c it's mostly reviews & for the price I could get Paper Crafts - which I would like more. I use to get Memory Makers, BUT let it lapse. They are also going through a huge company transition & their issues are getting very thin from what I've read. They are also getting ready to go to more of a SS style LO selection (I've read on other boards & I believe it's on their website somewhere).

SB Etc. would have to be my favorite though.

I get SB etc, CK, SS, And SB Answers. SB etc is my FAVORITE! I love so much in this months issue. CK is hit or miss but to me it's like the standard of SB mags. SS is ok sometimes but I might not renew it. I have been totally disappointed in SB Answers lately so that's going for sure and when it does I'm subscribing to Paper Crafts I LOVE it for other than SBing stuff.

I can't wait to get the newest issue of SB Etc. - it looks so good. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like SB answers isn't too good - MOST of the LOs are on the disc, the mag. is almost entirely reviews of products & tools. Looking forward to getting the Paper Crafts in it's place.

It came in the mail today - I haven't had much of a chane to lok through it though - DS has a nasty cold & he was trying to nap & kept waking himself up so I ended up laying down with him so he would be elevated. He's on the lawn mower ith DH no, so I'm going to try to at least flip through it before they come in.
BTW - how did the class go? I'm sure you did great. Was there a good turn out?

Thanks for asking! I think it went great and I had 7 people including Rhonda. I hope I can teach it again because I was so nervous and forgot stuff this time, that next time the kinks would be worked out...LOL
