do you scrap the good times as well as the bad? and how do you do the journaling?

I've not scrapped any real bad times. I've had a few ideas come to mind but I haven't done them yet. I wouldn't have photos to go along with it but I know I don't have to and I could always include a photo of who it's about (or what).
