When doing family photos, do you try to have all of the kids/parents in matching colors or just go with the flow?

The last 2 times we've done "family" photos we wore matching outfits. This fall I'm going for outdoor photos & I'm going to do a color scheme for the photo, but they will be complimentary colors, but not matching. When the baby arrives I want to do another set of family photos in a color scheme or white, tan & brown.

Guilty! Any time I know we are going to be taking a lot of picutres I try color corndinate everyone.

That isn't a major issue for me, only our "professional" photos. Unless I know that we might get a "family photo" (like last year @ the pumpkin patch, when we went with some friends). Usually, my photos are of DS, DH, or DS & DH together. I'm rarely in photos, only because I'm the "family photographer".

We've only done one "family' dh and me photo and we didn't match...he had on a black suit and I had on bright colors.

We have family photos taken professionally every year and I do find/buy coordinating outfits. Other than that we rarely match but I don't notice. On July 4th we usually match b/c we're wearing red, white & blue.
