Hmm . . . I wonder if any magazine will ever make it - really make it - with CK, Scrapbooks, Etc and SS (which probably gets a lot of support since it's a "sister" of CK) around. It seems - IMO - that Memory Makers has never really been that popular. I think good scrapbook designers like to submit to the popular ones too b/c they do get paid so well. I know I would!! I've heard the box of "goodies" from some of the magazines are so "good" if you KWIM.

I think SB Etc. & Memory Makers were in the same bracket a few years ago, but SB Etc. really stepped it up & they are huge now. Memory Makers style was so "set" - there wasn't much of a variety - well, IMHO there wasn't. One of there. I even remember reading somewhere that when Shannon Taylor had a LO picked up for a cover that they made her change the LO (a lot too). They also took a huge hit with the sell-out.

CK & SS were just sold though - so we may see some major changes with those mags. in the future.

I love SB etc and I think the revamp in Feb has helped A LOT. IMO CK is the standard and since SS is a sister, CK is keeping SS afloat. I have never bought a Memory Makers mag..the mag cover has never screamed "you must buy me". I'm ok with no SB answers. The last few issues have not been great. The only thing I'll miss is the CD full of fonts but this change will make my choice to drop it for Paper Crafts a lot easier...:)

I think Scrapbooks, Etc can do so well b/c they have the $$$ power of Better Homes & Garden. I didn't know CK & SS were sold!!! So they won't be with Primedia anymore? Who bought them? I wonder how that will go - if it will be better, same or go downhill? Same pay for LOs, etc.? Very interesting! You'll have to keep us updated on that one for sure!

Well, I got the November SB Answers today. Nothing suggests that it is the last issue. It was the complete opposite. Asking for layouts and things that will happen "next year" and "next issue". I just wonder how they are going to announce their ending. Also, it was another non-inspiring issue. :(

Thanks Leslie. They should be sending a letter with more infomation to the subscribers. My sub only had 1 or 2 more issues left. I'm going to subscribe to Paper Crafts since I've bought it for the last 3 months..LOL

I only had a few left on my subscription too. I am going to get Paper Crafts too. Love it, tons of great ideas. Definately worth the money. I haven't gotten my November issue yet, but I figure I'll see it in the next few days. I actually got a subscription renewal letter Friday. From what I've read, it was a last minute decision & it was because they were not profitable by their one year mark.
