I used to have favorites but now I like several different authors because I like the difference in writing styles. (Remember this is an English major speaking!!! ;-) ) BUT a few of my favorites are Jan Karon (Mitford Series - love, love, love!!), Beverly Lewis (stories set in Amish country which I've always been fascinated with!) and I have always enjoyed Janet Oke's books! Oh, and I cannot leave out L. M. Montgomery who wrote the Anne of Green Gables series. Thus, the reason my dear daugther is Elizabeth Anne with an E!
I loved it in college when I was assigned novels to read. I get so into them though. I have been known to get quite depressed for the day when I read sad or disturbing books. Thankfully, I can get over them. I have had a few dreams lately about Amish country though. I think I mentioned that I am currently reading the Abram's Daughters series by Beverly Lewis.

I wanted to add that if any of you ever read the Mitford Series by Jan Karon there is a great website. They have a great MB to ask questions and find out info. Yes, the books are that good! They are about the Episcopalian denomination which during the times when these books are based their beliefs seem very similar to those of Baptists.
I have started back to reading just lately. I haven't read much since last June though. I read 30 minutes at a time or more and before I go to bed at night. It helps to settle me. Tonight, I am supposed to be finishing up layouts for the store!
